Well, its the morning of day 2. Yesterday went pretty well, I got the results I had planned on, a win and a draw.
The first game was against Necrons. It was tight. I was on my back foot from the get go. He totally wiped the floor with me. The first turn my Obliterators were out, he shoot one unit and I rolled four 1's, well, that's a unit. In the end it was a lose. Then I noticed he didn't give me a kill point for his Spyder. Now its a draw. I can take that. Then, I'm picking up models and HEY! This Aspiring Sorcerer is still alive, its not a kill point yet. I win. It was a really close, well fought game. The win for me actually came when his Monolith scattered and killed his Tomb Spyder unit, giving me the point and stopping him from finishing an immobile Rhino.
Game 2 was against Blood Angels. This one was also close, but neither of us played aggressive enough. This game was a draw from the start. I wasn't going to risk it to charge across to his corner, and he deep striked to far back to be a threat. I made the mistake of holding a 1K Sons in my crater and string the rest of the unit to the objective. He assaulted me a pulled me off the objective. Luckily, my other squad was able to defeat his unit in combat and consolidated back onto the objective for the draw. It was my goal to get the draw, but maybe I should of tried. I pry made the right choice, but there is the doubt.
The first day ended with roughly what I was planning, and put me in a good position for day two.
